Preston received his MD from the University of Nebraska Medical Center and both his nephrology fellowship and MHS from Duke University.

He earned his PhD in Cancer Biology from Stanford University and completed postdoctoral training in neurodevelopment at UCSF. With expertise in cell biology, neuroscience, growth factor biology, and translational pharmacology, he applies a strategic, science-driven approach to developing next-generation medicines that harness the body’s ability to heal itself.

Michael is an experienced life sciences leader across private and public companies. He has scaled companies, directed a public offering, advanced U.S. and ex-U.S. product launches, and executed a broad range of licensing transactions. He previously served as Chief Business Officer at Velia and held senior roles in business development, strategy, and commercialization at AstraZeneca, Amgen, Amylin, Orexigen, PhaseBio, and Metacrine. He holds an MBA from the University of Redlands and a BA in Public Administration and Economics from San Diego State University.

She holds a BS from the University of Virginia and a PhD in Biochemistry from the Medical College of Pennsylvania, and completed postdoctoral training at UC San Diego.

David received an MBA from UC San Diego’s Rady School of Management and an AB from Harvard.

Prior to Cavalry, Rob worked with UNITY Biotechnology (NASDAQ: UBX) and completed post-doctoral work at the Buck Institute, where his research focused on using biochemistry and proteomics to understand developmental biology and neurodegenerative disease. He has over a decade of experience in regulatory affairs, drug discovery, biomarkers, and bioinformatics, and therapeutic protein design. Rob holds a PhD from UC San Diego and a BS from the University of Vermont.

Prior to joining Cavalry, Brit investigated mechanisms of neurodegenerative senescence at UNITY Biotechnology (NASDAQ: UBX). He also holds an MS in Molecular Biology from the University of Oregon and a BS in Biology from the University of New Mexico. Her work over the last 25 years has championed insulin-like growth factor I (IGF-I) as a key player in muscle regeneration. His current research focuses on age-related meibomian gland dysfunction. She was also a board observer at Genomic Health (NASDAQ: GHDX, acquired by Exact Sciences), Jazz (NASDAQ: JAZZ), and Syrrx (acquired by Takeda). Cami studied Biology at Duke and has an MBA from Harvard, graduating as a Baker Scholar. She is an Aspen Institute Henry Crown Fellow and an advisor to both Harvard Business School and Duke University.
